CHIP Value-Added Services and Program Updates
FirstCare Health Plans is committed to helping you and your family with these Value-Added Services for our CHIP members:
Members can visit myplanperksFCC.novu.com to attest to their activities for visits through Aug. 31, 2024. For visits on and after Sept. 1, 2024, visit fccextrabenefits.novu.com to attest to activities or call 888-950-0606 (TTY: 711) for assistance.
- One $25 gift card per year for new or existing CHIP members:
- Ages 20 and younger who get a timely well-child checkup.
- Who participate in FirstCare’s Asthma Disease Management program. Talk to your Service Coordinator to learn more.
- One $20 gift card for CHIP members who have a follow-up doctor visit within 7 days of discharge from a behavioral health hospital stay.
- Wellness Webinars: CHIP members can access the quarterly wellness webinars though the FirstCare Member Portal.
- Findhelp: Online social services resource directory is available on the RightCare member portal to locate community supports such as food and nutrition, housing, education and employment services.
- Talk to a Nurse—Nurse 24™: Access to FirstCare’s nurse advice line. Call 855-828-1013 (TTY 711) for health questions 24/7.
- One sports physical each year. Members ages 19 and younger. Call 877-639-2447 to learn more.
- “Expecting the Best®” Pregnancy Management Program:
- Early enrollment in service coordination support program
- Access to a nurse 24/7
- Educational smartphone app
- Planning for delivery, including individual support during and after pregnancy
- Perinatal and postpartum depression screening during pregnancy and up to one year after delivery
- Parental education for newborn health
- Planning for returning to work
- FirstCare Baby Shower: New expectant moms receive a diaper bag and other small items for their participation in a FirstCare Baby Shower. The shower includes health facts, community resources, activities and healthy snacks.
- Extra Help Getting a Ride: One monthly ride for members to go to the grocery store, WIC appointments, health education classes, fitness centers, vocational trainings, job interviews, self-help group meetings, places of worship/religious services, pregnancy/birthing classes, newborn classes, CPR/first aid classes or FirstCare Baby Showers. To set up a ride, Call FirstCare Nonemergency Medical Transportation at 833-779-3105 or fill out our form. Rides must be requested 3 days before your scheduled trip. You can also download the A2C app, Access2Care's no-cost mobile app. You can find it on the Apple App and Google Play stores.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides Texas families real support to get healthy and stay healthy. Pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday are eligible for WIC.

Mosquito Repellent Benefit
Texas covers certain mosquito repellent products for the prevention of Zika virus as a benefit in Medicaid and other state programs. The mosquito repellent benefit begins Feb. 12, 2018, and will run continuously year-round.
